I used to shy away from any extra shine, shimmer providing products. Because I have an oily skin, I stayed away from highlighters and glowy products for the longest time. But now I am addicted after trying a few.
Sephora says this is “A complexion booster that blurs, smooths, and illuminates for a real-life filter effect.” This is not a foundation. Many people are confused about how to use it. The Sephora website states four ways to use this, which I have stated below.

The packaging is really beautiful. Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter comes in a glass bottle with a golden lid. The underside of the lid has a doe foot shaped applicator with a sponge tip. The bottle is hefty, so I will get a travel sized one for travel.
Formula Of Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter
This product is free of parabens, sulfates SLS & SLES. It is also gluten-free and cruelty-free. Moreover, Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter has finely milled powders, Porcelain Flower Extract and Glossy Oil. In fact these ingredients help with brightening, moisturizing skin and achieving a soft focus look.
Suggested Usage
“Four Ways to a Flawless Glow:
- Use alone: Blend with fingers for a sheer, fresh, glossy look in seconds.
- Apply underneath foundation: Apply to desired areas and blend into skin

My Experience
Firstly, let me start by saying that I love this product. It was recommended to me by a friend and I’m glad I tried it. And really, if you want to fake a youthful glow, this is the product for it. I was surprised at how thick this is. After using this I look fresh and put together. In fact it is perfect for no makeup days. Somehow it also makes my skin look dewy and airbrushed.
I have used it alone, applied it under my foundation, mixed it with foundation and applied it on top of my foundation. I truly love it no matter how I use it. So this is a multiuse product for me that gives my skin a healthy glow. Also this imparts a natural beautiful sheen to the skin which is not glittery. This is a big plus in my books.
Even though it has some color, it has no coverage as it is not a foundation. I will go ahead and say it, this has been the best addition to my makeup routine.
