This morning, Kensington Palace released a photograph of Kate Middleton to promote her upcoming Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey. In the picture, Kate looks absolutely radiant wearing a red festive sequin dress by Needle & Thread and ruby earrings by Soru Jewellery.
The carol service, which will be filmed next week and broadcast on ITV One on Christmas Eve, is returning for a second year. It promises to be “a beautiful celebration of the joy that human connection can bring”.

The service will be attended by members of the Royal family and will pay tribute to the late Queen.
For the second year running Westminster Abbey will host the Christmas Carol Service. The televised broadcast will allow viewers all over the world to experience the beauty and magic of the event.
Westminster Abbey’s Choir will perform classic carols, which will ensure the show will be a beautiful celebration of the season.
Let’s take a deep dive into Kate’s look.
Kate’s outfit:
Kate wore the the Needle & Thread Aurora Ballerina dress in red. The pretty garment features a flattering a-line silhouette, elegant ruffle detailing at the neck and shoulders, a flowing skirt and long mesh sleeves.

It’s made from red tulle and adorned with tonal sequins cleverly placed to imitate vintage lace tablecloths.
The Princess has worn the dress once before, to the UK-Africa Investment Summit Reception at Buckingham Palace in January 2020.

This is the second time we’ve seen Kate’s wear a red sparkly dress in just one week—the Princess wore a similar beaded gown by Jenny Packham to the Diplomatic Reception on Tuesday evening.

Let’s look at Kate’s earrings in the Christmas Carol promo now. They look like the Ruby drops from Soru Jewellery.

The earrings feature ruby gemstones set within multifaceted sparkling crystals.
The earrings are handmade in family-run workshops, in small batches, in Italy and Turkey. RRP: £145.
We’ve only seen Kate wear the earrings once before—with this same dress—in January 2020.
